Maple Heritage Cabin.
Our “Maple Heritage Cabin” is mostly built from sugar maples logs that were tapped for many years here in Muskoka. There is evidence of tap holes in the quarter logs that make up the walls, the maple boards on the two front doors show many tap holes.
The antiques and artifacts that were housed in the Heritage Cabin have been removed and placed into what will become the new Sugarbush Hill Maple Museum in the future.
The Heritage Cabin is now home to a displayed version of "The Maple Syrup Maker's Alphabet for children and adults to view and read. During 2014-2019 "Maple Tours" were offered, pine boards were signed by locals and participantfrom all over the world. Many of these boards are hanging in the Heritage Cabin as well.
Directly in front of the heritage cabin is our pioneer four (4) kettle boiling display which is referred to during our maple presentations. Modern day maple sugaring sure has come a long way since those days.
Both our maple presentations (June – Oct) and our Maple Weekends (April) take place at the Heritage Cabin seating area.
