MAY-OCTOBER:   Regular maple tours commence Wednesday May 2nd – and ends on Saturday October 6th unless otherwise noted below.   All tours are in English.  Tours will be conducted 4 days a week, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  Start time is 10:00 A.M.   The maple tour is conducted entirely in the sugarhouse so the tour will not be affected by outside weather conditions.  Please book as early as you can to avoid disappointment as tours have limited space and in many cases fill up quickly.  Please do not just show up and expect to join a tour without a booking as there may be no space.

THERE ARE NO TOURS –  JULY 18-21,  –  Sugarbush Tom will be attending a Maple Conference in the United States.  The Maple Shop will be open during normal operating hours during this time period.

GENERAL INFORMATION:  Tours are conducted only on days indicated and start promptly at 10:00 A.M.    There is only one tour per day (unless a private tour has been arranged) and is conducted by Sugarbush Tom.  Tours have a limited number of people, about 20 to maintain a high quality. Please do not just show up and expect to join a tour without a booking. Once a tour is full it is full.  Many of our tours during the busy summer and fall seasons become fully booked weeks in advance, so to avoid disappointment  please book early by phone or email with your credit card information.   Please make every effort to be EARLY for your tour as the tour will have numerous different touring parties attending and we always plan to start on time, please be considerate of others and give yourself extra time should you need it.  Please use the GPS coordinates that are supplied by us under “Contact” and NOT by google as they will bring you to a wrong road.

TOUR ADMISSION FEES:   Adults -$7,  Children 12 yrs and under- $4.   A booking with a reserved spot can ONLY be made with prepayment at the time of your booking.  Credit card information can be emailed in, preferably in two separate emails, one with the credit card number, expiry date, and POSTAL CODE with another email with only the the 3-digit security number on it.  This same credit card information can also be phoned in, but ONLY during business hours (10-4).  Booking tour fees are NOT refundable should you miss any of or the complete tour for any reason.  However, if you miss your entire tour for any reason you can use those tour fees towards a purchase of any maple product in our maple shop within 7 days of the originally scheduled tour date, please call to advise.

THE COMPLETE MAPLE PROCESS is explained with the various steps of how maple syrup is made, starting with the sap coming from the trees to finishing in the maple kitchen with tastings of our syrup and various maple value added products.  Throughout the maple tour questions are certainly encouraged and welcomed.  One of the largest maple antique and artifact collections in all of Ontario are also on display and seen throughout the maple tour with some of their histories discussed for your added in-depth enjoyment. Our maple shop is available for your maple purchases and gift giving needs if desired.  The duration of our maple tour is approximately 75-90 minutes.  Please dress warmly during the cooler months as the sugarhouse itself is not heated.  Tours are conducted completely indoors, you are welcome to stroll our maple forest, however, at your own risk. Please note, our tours are geared more for the mature visitor as technical and detailed topics are discussed during the one hour and 15 minute time frame.  Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the production area or the maple shop, they are however permitted on the property but must be kept under control at all times and be supervised.  Thank-you for your understanding and cooperation.

PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS by emailing us at or phoning at 705-787-9787 to avoid disappointment. First come first serve.  Tours are limited to roughly 20 people per tour unless pre-arranged as a tour group.  Tours are offered ONLY on indicated days and time.
